We want to hear from Northcrest residents about what they think about the Municipal Boundary Review.

The Northern Territory Government (NTG) is proposing to expand the City of Palmerston local government boundary to include the Northcrest residential area. For more information on this visit here.

City of Darwin is currently drafting a submission on the proposal to NTG and we would love to hear your thoughts on who you would prefer to be providing you with your Council services.

Council recently released its Draft 2021-22 Municipal Plan and Budget where we have committed a record breaking $91.5 million in capital works to deliver our Better City. Better Suburbs Programs over the next 12 months.

These include:

  • $25M for the Casuarina Aquatic and Leisure Centre redevelopment
  • $30M for the Civic Centre redevelopment
  • $32.7M investment in waste management
  • $9.3M to maintain our parks
  • $2.5M to maintain our street and public lighting
  • $1.9M to create a Safer Darwin
  • $1.8M for our animal management program
  • $1.3M Tree Establishment Program.

City of Darwin delivers many benefits for its ratepayers and residents including:
