Help shape City of Darwin's Youth Strategy 2022 - 2026
City of Darwin’s current youth strategy Young Darwin 2016 - 2021 is due for renewal. Our new Youth Strategy 2022 - 2026 will articulate a five year vision that will promote and support the wellbeing of young people aged 12 to 25 who live, work, study and play within the municipality.
Council wants to work collaboratively with the community, young people and their families to develop Youth Strategy 2022 - 2026 and create a city where young people are supported to achieve their potential.
Our Youth Strategy 2022-2026 will drive the strategic direction of Council’s work in relation to young people, consolidate achievements and strengths of Council’s preceding youth strategy, and consider existing and emerging youth needs and issues.

Street Workout / Outdoor Gym
Darwin needs more spots like East Point Street Workout. This asset has been absolutely terrific for the community of Darwin because it brings groups of people (of all ages and abilities) together around fitness, and there is a great vibe out there every afternoon. Other stations installed around Darwin just aren't the same. The Bar Brothers & Sisters Darwin crew are a great bunch, very supportive and welcoming of all people who want to join in on their free exercise sessions. The East Point Street Workout has been featured in a case study by the Australian Heart Foundation which has gone out to national audiences through the Clearinghouse for Sport journal.

Family playground,bbq,skatepark area.
I visit Newcastle once a year and every time we go we check out one skatepark in particular Cameron park. It facilitates an open skatepark for all ages including shade, playground for the younger kids, sports ovals, basketball court and family bbq areas and amenities. Would love to see something like this. Or a complete upgrade to the Palmerston park making it more family friendly as its really run down and doesn’t look appealing driving past that park of Palmerston. Attached is a picture I could find
