Why do we need a Movement Strategy?
Transport is an enabler of daily life that provides people with access to jobs, services and leisure.
Our inaugural Movement Strategy will lay the foundations for a connected and sustainable movement network that supports a safe, liveable and healthy city.
At its core, our Movement Strategy will aim to make it easier for people to move around the City of Darwin by increasing sustainable transport choices, improving streetscapes, infrastructure and connectivity.

The community consultation period is open until 5 May 2021.
Once the consultation is complete, City of Darwin will prepare a consultation report that contains an analysis of the feedback we received, and this will be considered in the finalisation of the Movement Strategy.
