Engagement outcomes

Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback on our proposed Access Strategy! Here’s what we discovered through our community engagement during October - November 2024:

🔷 82 people joined focus groups across the municipality

🔷 77 people completed our online survey

🔷 26 people visited our pop-up stalls

🔷 10 specialists took part in one-on-one interviews

Key areas for improvement are:

🔷 Making it easier for people with disability to move around Darwin

🔷 Having greater availability of access-related information

🔷 Create more opportunities for people with disability to participate fully in Darwin's economy, events and lifestyle

🔷 Recognise the achievements of people with disability

Thanks to these learnings, we are now fine-tuning the strategy so that it can be presented to Council in the coming months. Stay tuned for more details.
